Bio

I am currently the EMS Captain and President for Potosi Volunteer Fire Department. I started coming out to Potosi VFD when I was in college at Abilene Christian University. I decided that I would get my EMT-Basic to help out with the medical aspect of the department. After that I was hooked and went on and worked my way to Paramedic. Following graduating ACU, I went to TEEX Fire Academy in College Station and got my state basic firefighter certification but have not ever gotten on a paid department but have kept my certification current through training with Potosi VFD. Following the fire academy, I made the big move and got a house out in Potosi.
I now work for Air Evac Lifeteam as a Flight Paramedic working normally on the helicopter in Brownwood and sometimes in Abilene and part-time for Guardian EMS out of Brownwood. At ACU I received a bachelors degree in teaching/coaching but decided not to go into teaching.I went back to school part-time and got my pre-reques for medical school. I have applied to medical school and currently waiting to hear if I will get an interview. I hope to become a doctor with my emphasis in Emergency Medicine. I would like to do medical direction for EMS/Fire departments and work in an ER.
